Want to come and play with us? The Hampstead Sinfonietta is the sister orchestra to the Royal Free Music Society choir. Our musical directors are Dr Malcolm Johnston and Dr Andrew Rochford. We are always on the lookout for more players to join us (especially woodwind, brass and percussion) - rehearsals for a piece are kept to a minimum and usually consist of a main rehearsal on the day of the the concert (Saturday). In other words - you are not going to get a lot of practice! We try and select music which members of the orchestra will enjoy playing as "reward" for the pieces played with the choir (which can sometimes not be very exciting for the instrumentalists!). So, if you don't need much practice, willing to put in a good effort for a couple of days per year and enjoy making quality music, send us your details below. The form will send your information to our musical directors and the site administrator (just to be on the safe side) and will be treated in the strictest confidence. How to join Open the email above and fill it in. If this does not work (and it might not!) then send the following details to Andy Miller (Chair of the RFMS) on windy999@lineone.net who will forward it to our Musical Directors. The information we are after is as follows:
What happens then? One of our Musical Directors will get in contact with you |
