joining the RFMS

So what are we like?

We're a friendly bunch who take rehearsals quite informally and have achieved some fantastic results. Of course there is some shouting just before concerts but none of it is taken personally and we all seem to get on pretty well. we are there to produce high quality music for the local population in North London and we sometimes give money from our concerts to charity.

What we are looking for in new members is:

• Willing to put in some time of their own - we usually produce midi files on this site so that members can practice at home.
• Willing to help others in the choir with less ability than themselves - some of our members have gained greatly by joining us.
• Willing to rehearse during rehearsals - we usually go to the Magdela pub afterwards for the social aspect of the choir.

If you can give us the time and commitment then please open the email below, fill it in, and come and join us. If you don't know what voice range you are we'll suggest one and you can give us a try - if you later find out that it's too high or low then please feel free to swap around.

If the email thing above doesn't work (and it might not!) please email Andy on windy999@lineone.net and tell me the following:

• Your full name
• Your email address (or you won't get an answer!)
• What voice to sing (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass, High, Low, Don't know)
• Your level of singing (from principal soloist with the Royal Opera to singing in the bath)
• Any other Information you might think is useful

What will happen next?

Somebody from the choir will get in contact with you within a day or two to ask how you would like to start coming to rehearsals and to make sure that we have some music for you when you arrive - there's nothing worse than having to share music with a total stranger (for you that is)
